Bid Packages on the AOL Crew Channel

The following tutorial is designed to show you how to access the bid packages on the AOL Crew Channel. If you are having problems with any element of AOL up to the point where you see the Unimatic and Apollo screens, contact AOL customer support at 1-877-340-1014 from within the United States or 1-703-476-0514 from outside the United States.

Step 1: Visit http://airline.compuserve.com/ual/default.asp

You will see the following screen.  Click on the ‘Bid Packages’ link.

Step 2: Choose what bid package to download

You will see the following screen.  Select your domicile, type of flying, and if you want the primary or relief bid packages.  Click the ‘Retrieve Bid Package’ button when done.

Step 3: Choose what part of the bid package to access

You will see the following screen.  Choose a link depending on if you want the cover pages, the domestic LOF, the international LOF, the Key Pages, or the international Key Pages.

Step 4: Print the Bid Package

Change the layout of the page. You will see the following screen.  Select File, and then ‘Page Setup...”

Step 5: Change the printing format to ‘Landscape’.

You will see the following screen.  Choose ‘Landscape’ and click OK.

Step 6: Print

You will see the following screen.  Choose File, and then ‘Print...”

Step 7: Print (cont’d)

You will see the following screen.  Choose your printer and click the ‘Print’ button.

How to save the Bid Package to your computer’s hard drive

Step 1: Follow Steps 1-3 above

You will see the following screen.  Choose File, and then ‘Save As...”

Step 2: Change format to ‘Text’

You will see the following screen.  Choose ‘Text File’ for the ‘Save as type’ menu.

Step 3: Rename the file and save

You will see the following screen.  Recommend that you give the package an easy-to-remember filename.  Click ‘Save’ when done to save to your computer.  The bid package is now saved on your computer as a text file which you can open anytime.  Don’t forget where you saved it!
