May 13, 2003

The company will recall 1,527 Flight Attendants to work for the month of June. The recall of Flight Attendants from 5.L. status splits Flight Attendant classification seniority date of December 16, 2000. Official notification of return and supplemental information regarding return to work will be sent to each flight attendant’s home via Federal Express or the international equivalent. They will also receive automated voice notification via telephone. The 300 Flight Attendants remaining on 5.L ANP will be notified of the continuation of their ANP status through the automated telephone technology. FDMS screens will not be updated until tomorrow.

All Flight Attendants returning from 5.L. status must contact the Company to advise them that they will return to work on June 1, 2003. The contact schedule listed in Section 5.L. of the Contract is as follows:

The notification letter will provide specific instructions for contacting the Company to advise them of the June 1, 2003 return to work.

Flight Attendants within the recall numbers, those senior to system seniority number 21,921, who requested 30-day ANP for June by noon Chicago Time on the 12th of May, will be awarded voluntary 30-day ANP.
