FlightPAC is the Association of Flight Attendants Political Action Committee (PAC). Through voluntary contributions of eligible AFA members, FlightPAC gives support to candidates to federal office who are committed to helping improve flight attendant safety, security and health.

Through the work of the Government Affairs Department, the Legislative Affairs/FlightPAC Committee and FlightPAC contributions, AFA has been able to forge many important relationships with Members of Congress and especially Congress members who serve on the Transportation Committees in the House and the Senate. It is through these relationships that we are able to have legislation introduced on behalf of AFA.

  • FlightPAC is non-partisan and independent
  • FlightPAC offers strength in numbers.

If you do not currently contribute to FlightPAC and would like to learn how to do so, please contact your Local Legislative Affairs/FlightPAC Chairperson, or download a payroll deduction form posted on www.afanet.org.

Overview of FlightPAC Endorsement/Disbursement Procedure

Congressional Incumbents: The Government Affairs Department will review criteria that each incumbent must meet, including representing districts/states with many AFA members, sitting on key committees, cosponsoring and voting correctly on key AFA votes, a record of previous support for AFA, and having a tough re-election challenge.

Congressional Candidates: After receiving a request and background information from a candidate for federal office the Government Affairs Department will send the campaign a questionnaire. Once it is determined that the questionnaire answers are right; that the filing deadline has passed; that this is not a contested primary; and that the candidate has a viable race a request for contribution/endorsement will be made to AFA’s Political/Legislative Steering Committee.
