AUG 28, 2007 - Bush threatens veto of FAA Reautorization Bill unless Congress pull provisions that maintain current and long-term limits on foreign ownership.

EU backs "open skies" pact

MAR 23, 2007 - European Union transport ministers gave unanimous support to the "open skies" treaty with the United States.  At Britain's request, the ministers agreed on a five-month delay in implementing the deal, so it will take effect on March 30, 2008 instead of October this year.

MAR 21, 2007 - The Department of Transportation (DOT) yesterday green lighted an application from Virgin America despite the fact that the revised application still shows that it is under foreign ownership.

Flight Attendants Condemn DOT For Opening Backdoor To Virgin Group In America

MAR 20, 2007 - United Flight Attendants expressed deep disappointed with the Department of Transportation (DOT) tentative ruling allowing Virgin America access to the healing U.S. aviation industry and condemns the agency for jeopardizing this vital American interest.  Tell Congress to reject the treaty that will destroy a vital American interest, the U.S. aviation industry.
