AFA Grievance Filed Over Skipped Pension Payment

After thoroughly researching our negotiations and Contractual history with our Grievance Committee and legal department, AFA filed MEC grievance 13-04 over the violation of Section 34.A.12. of our Contract when United decided to defer its July 15, 2004 payment to our pension plan.
This Section requires that "the Company will contribute actuarially determined amounts that will be sufficient to provide the benefits" that are secured in the Agreement.
Also, AFA will continue to explore every legal avenue available to us due to United's actions devastating to the security of our pensions and the direction of our airline.
