JUL 2 - All eligible domestic Flight Attendants received their 401(k) Initial Contribution on June 28, 2006. Due to computer programming issues, Flight attendants who accessed Fidelity's Web site at www.401k.com on June 29, 2006 were not able to make an investment election change for their Company paid Direct and Matching contributions.
JAN 13 - The DC District Court today issued a ruling against AFA and found that the PBGC complied with the ERISA in terminating the Flight Attendant Pension Plan. In this ruling, the same statute designed to protect employees' pensions is turned on its head as the basis for terminating pensions. The ruling doesn’t change the fact that United Airlines needs to address the retirement security of Flight Attendants. We call on management to redouble their efforts to reach an agreement that would provide the retirement security Flight Attendants have earned.

MAY 25 - Our fight to save our retirement security has grabbed the attention of Change America. A blog conference was hosted by political consultant Joe Trippi.
