Agreement for French Social Benefits

Updated: April 30, 2006

With the assistance of the French Government, AFA has successfully reached an agreement with United for Paris Flight Attendants to have access to French Social Benefits.

The key points of the agreement are that United has agreed to complete the ASSEDIC paperwork in such a way that allows Flight Attendants access to French unemployment benefits if they cannot transfer. Additionally, the company will finance the creation of an individual outplacement assistance program to the value of 4000 Euros. The company will also make contact with French airlines in an effort to find employment opportunities.

We were able to negotiate other improvements to the transfer and relocation package. Furthermore, Flight Attendants will have access to French maternity benefits before reporting having to report to their new domicile.
