CDGSW Closure Bidding Procedures and Timeline

On Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 1200 (Noon) Local Domicile (CDG) time, domicile closure transfer vacancies limited to CDG Flight Attendants will be open for bid.  These vacancies will be filled in (SW) seniority order by CDG Flight Attendants.  These transfer allocations will not be open for system bid.

Closure Vacancies

These 302 allocations exceed the number of Flight Attendants bidding for the involuntary transfer:

DCA 2
FRA 90
HKG 4*
JFK 1
LHR 185
NRT 5
ORD 10
SFO 5

*Flight Attendants must obtain right to work in HKG prior to the award.

Timeline

February 22, 2006 – 1200 (Noon) Local Time CDG

Bid opens

March 8, 2006 – 1200 (Noon) Local Time CDG

Bid closes

March 10, 2006 – 0100 Local Time CDG

Bid awards posted

Bidding

  • All CDG Flight Attendants must bid using either DIS*67963 or the Bid Fax Form.
  • When completing your bid, rank all available domiciles by priority 1 (highest) to 8 (lowest).
  • Bid according to your preference of location – do not assume that you will be locked out of any specific location.  AFA will continue to advocate for first choice awards whenever possible.
  • If a Flight Attendant submits a bid more than once during the time bidding is open, the most recent bid submitted will be used for the award process.
  • No early or late bids will be accepted.
  • Any insufficient bid or no bid will be assigned at the end of the award in SW seniority order of those with an insufficient or no bid.

Reserve Rotation

You will retain your current status (L or R); or letter (A or B) in your new domicile through January 2007.

Vacations

2006 vacations will be retained for all transferring CDG Flight Attendants.
