There are three problems that have been brought to our attention today.
They are:
If you tried to connect to Unimatic/Apollo this morning, you may have received the following error message:
"Timestamp expired. Reauthenticate."
We have contacted AOL and determined that this problem is caused by Daylight Savings Time affecting their Web servers. We are told that the problem has been solved and that Unimatic access is now restored.
If you try and call AOL's United technical support number at 1-877-340-1014, there is now a message that says the number is no longer in service. This is not true. Apparently, their tech support center is open only for limited hours, and this is the message that is provided during the time their call center is closed. Confusing, yes I know. If you need AOL technical support, it would be best to call them back on Monday.
Email that is being sent to unitedsupport@aol.com is not being answered. I don't know why this is happening, but can only guess that the tech support desk is closed on Sunday. Again, best to wait until Monday to see if you receive a response.
I am as annoyed with this cryptic AOL technical support phone message as you are. Please continue to let us know about any problems you experience with AOL regarding the Sun JRE and/or Unimatic access. Remember, AFA DOES NOT PROVIDE TECHNICAL SUPPORT for home Unimatic access, but we will discuss with AOL and United any technical and/or customer service support issues that are brought to our attention.
I can be reached at webmaster@unitedafa.org. Please let me know any further trouble accessing Unimatic today.
Sincerely,
Christopher Lee
