Unimatic Outage Postponed

Updated: August 28, 2006
The Unimatic Outage for tomorrow has been postponed. At this time, the company has not determined when they will schedule a second attempt at this conversion.

The Network Operations Center has announced that connectivity to Unimatic and Apollo will be down on the following date and time during a planned migration of a Firewall to the current infrastructure:

AUGUST 29, 2006
1:00 a.m. - 3:00 a.m. (Central Time)

They have indicated that this migration effort is necessary because the current Firewall complex has reached its performance limits, is out of date and is not in compliance with architectural standards. In addition, it is an unsupported and obsolete technology that is complicated to manage and has high maintenance costs.

NOTE: This Unimatic outage will only affect those Flight Attendants that are connecting to Unimiatic via AOL home access. This outage does not affect access to Unimatic and Apollo through United’s dedicated terminals on United’s property.
