The Wilson Center for Public Research conducted a statistically valid telephone poll on behalf of the AFA United Master Executive Council between March 3 and March 11, 2008. All Members are encouraged to take part in this follow-on web-based survey as it will supplement the polling already conducted.
The poll will take approximately 20 minutes to complete on the secure survey website. High participation on the web ensures an accurate assessment of your feedback and it contributes to a healthy democratic process in our Union.
If you are experiencing trouble with accessing the survey using your file number and birthdate, please send an e-mail to access@unitedafa.org. Include your name, file number and phone number and we will respond quickly to get you special logon information.
If you do not click on a selection item or type a response in a response box within 30 minutes while on the survey screen, the survey will “time out” and you will need to log in again. If you need to step away from the survey for some reason, it’s better to first select “Save Survey,” and Logout. When you return to the survey, sign in again and select “Resume Saved Survey,” to access your previously saved responses. Do not select “Take Survey,” as this will restart your survey responses from the beginning.
If you select the option to “Save Partially Completed Survey,” you will be advised that your responses will not be submitted as part of the survey tally until you click the button to “Submit Survey Responses.”
The non-profit Wilson Center has conducted telephone interviews with about 2.5 million working people, in 14 languages as part of more than 9,000 major work place studies. These professional pollsters employ demographically stratified random sampling to insure high precision, accurate data. At the conclusion of the polling process the Wilson Center professionals will provide a confidential analytical briefing and recommendations to the Union. Polling will continue as we refine our priorities for negotiations, and this preliminary survey is critical to begin to determine our collective goals.
