The Spring 2026 Regular Master Executive Council (MEC) Meeting marked an important moment in the democratic process of our Union, as elections were held to fill 40 MEC positions. These roles are critical to representing the voice of our Membership and guiding the work of our Union in the years ahead.
We congratulate all those who were elected during this process and encourage those who were not successful to continue to pursue the important work within our Union. All the candidates willingness to step forward and serve reflects a strong commitment to advocating for our collective interests and upholding the responsibilities entrusted to them. Each elected Member will begin their respective terms on July 1, 2026, bringing their experience and perspective to the work ahead. You can view the election results on our MEC Meetings page.
Equally important is recognizing every candidate who put their name forward. It takes courage, dedication, and a deep belief in the power of collective action to step into these roles, and our Union is stronger because of that engagement.
These elections are a reminder that our Union’s strength lies in the active participation of its Members. Through this process, we continue to build leadership, foster mentorship, and ensure that every voice has the opportunity to be heard.
