February honors Black History Month as a dedicated time to celebrate, recognize the significant contributions, resilience, and achievements of the Black community. These contributions have influenced our industry and promoted social progress around the world.
We celebrate Black History Month to honor stories and achievements that were often overlooked, stolen, or erased, and to recognize the struggles against slavery, segregation, and systemic injustice that many have faced, yet they persisted with strength and courage.
Black History Month is important because it helps foster understanding, challenges stereotypes, and reminds us that history is not complete or accurate unless all voices are heard and valued.
As we look to the future, it is essential to continue celebrating, acknowledging, and supporting Black history so that progress does not stall, lessons are not forgotten, and future generations grow with a deeper sense of empathy, equity, and respect, ensuring that experiences remain recognized not just for one month, but as an ongoing and vital part of our shared history.
