Open Time Trading Reopens After Staggered Base Time Brackets

Written by Admin | Jul 16, 2026 9:13:28 PM

As previously communicated by the Joint Implementation Team (JIT) in their June 9, 2026, update, “Following Honolulu's two-hour bracket, real time trading will reopen for the entire system and remain open going forward into the new bid month.”

Open time trades reopen at 1700 HNL-time for all bases.

Flight Attendants no longer have to wait until 0700 Home Domicile Time on the 24th to resume open time trading.

This change is reflected in the August bid packet inserts, along with other useful information regarding bidding, the Adjustment process, CQ training, and more.

Seniority Trades

Joint Implementation Team, June 9, 2026

As noted in the Implementation Letter of Agreement, the seniority trip trades which occur on the 27th of the month will be discontinued in June for the July bid month. Starting on June 23, real-time trades will open in two-hour brackets, starting in Guam and ending in Honolulu, as they do today. Following Honolulu's two-hour bracket, real-time trading will reopen for the entire system and remain open going forward into the new bid month.
