AFA Honors Native American Heritage Month

Share links

Each November, Native American Heritage Month gives us an opportunity to celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, histories and contributions of Native American people. It is a time to learn, reflect and recognize the lasting impact Native Americans have on communities across our country.

For Flight Attendants, this month is also an opportunity to recognize the Native American members of our profession whose experiences, perspectives and cultural heritage help strengthen our crews, our workplace, and our Union.

One way to recognize Native American Heritage Month is by wearing your Native American AFA pin throughout November. If you don’t have one and would like to participate, reach out to your Local Council to obtain one.

This November, we invite you to share how you celebrate your Native American heritage! Please email HumanRights@UnitedAFA.org along with your name, base, and if you would like to include a photo as well as your tribal affiliation. Your submission can include how you honor the traditions and culture that are meaningful to you or how the importance of celebrating Native American heritage. We can’t wait to hear from you!
