Breast cancer impacts individuals and their loved ones in deep and often unexpected ways. Besides the physical symptoms and medical treatments, it presents emotional struggles, changes in daily routines, and moments of doubt and hope. Those affected by the diagnosis have shown extraordinary courage and resilience in facing these tough experiences.
Throughout October, we honor the resilience and hope of our Members who have battled breast cancer. We've created a dedicated space where Flight Attendants can share their stories and send uplifting messages to each other. Join us in honoring their journeys and inspiring one another.
If you want to share your story, we have provided information on how you can participate.
- Reflect on what helped you and consider sharing your experience.
- Write your story, including any words of encouragement.
- If you're comfortable, consider including a photo to accompany your story.
- Decide whether you want to be identified by your name and base or remain anonymous.
- Send your story via email to HumanRights@UnitedAFA.org.
- In your email, please specify your preference for sharing your name and base, and attach your photo if you wish to include it.
By raising awareness and standing with our flying partners affected by breast cancer, we keep the conversation going and provide meaningful support where it’s needed most. Together, we are here to offer our support and provide a path forward for every Member embarking on this journey.
