Over the last few months, multiple bases across the system have seen an increase in Reserve lines with 16 days off.
Contract Section 8.I.1.l. provides Reserve Flight Attendants with the ability to restore days of availability regardless of whether they initially bid for the line.
Restored days will coincide with an increase to the Reserve minimum guarantee, up to a maximum of 78:00. For July 2026, each Reserve day you choose to restore will be worth 4:20 hours.
Requests to restore Reserve days of availability must be submitted by 23:59 HDT (Home Domicile Time), 3 days before the first day of the new bid month. To further review the restoration of reserve day availability, please see our Reserve Review FAQ document for additional details.
Reserves also have the option to pick up trips on their scheduled days off to increase their monthly pay. Trips may be picked up from either Open time or from other Flight Attendants. Page 92 of the Reserve Survival Guide explains the contractual provisions for Reserves picking up trips on Reserve days off.
