SFO Catering Vendor Transition

Yesterday, the transition to a new United catering vendor in SFO started. Leading up to this, management briefed the Union and provided a detailed overview of the catering and operational contingency plans to support the operation, passengers, and Flight Attendants. Additional company personnel are in SFO to support the catering transition and Crewmembers planeside. For anyone flying through SFO over the next several weeks, please make note of the following:

Catering: It is possible that additional catering or service modifications, beyond what was already modified, may take place. This will be communicated either planeside or via an Easychat message. Check MyFlight for any flight-specific messages.

Crew Meals: Crew meals are to be boarded as scheduled. The company has committed to making sure we have them when they are scheduled. If you are expecting crew meals, check to ensure the meals have been boarded as soon as possible and communicate the missing meals ASAP.

Trash: Galley trash is to be removed on all flights.

We have stayed in close contact with Inflight management to collaboratively address and resolve concerns. Please contact your AFA Local Council to report any issues.
