Share links

As many are aware, Super Typhoon Bavi, a Category 5 storm with winds up to 180 MPH made landfall near Rota on July 6 in the Northern Mariana Islands, only approximately 125 miles from Guam.

Bavi brought destructive winds, torrential rainfall (with reports of 12-20+ inches in some areas), widespread power outages and hazardous coastal conditions with waves up to 20-25 feet.

This typhoon has directly affected Guam-based Flight Attendants; both currently in the region, as well as those stranded at layover stations; unable to return home at this time.
