The Backbone of Aviation: Flight Attendants on Labor Day

Share links

This Labor Day, we honor the dignity of work, the power of solidarity, and the unwavering spirit of working people across our country. For Flight Attendants, it serves as a reminder that we are not only safety professionals in the sky but also the very backbone of aviation. Our work ensures that our industry operates safely, efficiently, and always with a friendly smile.

Labor Day exists because workers like us organized, fought, and won. The protections and rights we have today, from fair pay and safe working conditions to having a voice in the workplace, are the direct result of Unions and Labor power. Our profession is what it is today because Flight Attendants before us refused to settle for less and pushed for more. They stood united in solidarity, and we carry that legacy forward as we continue to organize and advocate for the protections we deserve.

As we face the challenges ahead, let us remember that our strength comes from each other. Together, we are unstoppable. We are proof that when workers unite, we not only improve our own lives but also raise the standards for all who follow.

This Labor Day, we reaffirm our commitment to one another, to our profession, and to the principle that it is the labor of working people, our labor, that moves this nation and this company into another year of progress.
