MEC Reserve Committee

Shortly after midnight CT on September 5, 2025, the company was able to confirm that the final stage of their mid-term fix was successfully deployed. Flight Attendants are again able to access the Reserve Availability and Reserve Assigned screens in CCS.

Most aspects of the Reserve Availability screen will update in real-time, except the Time-Accrued (TMAC) values. These numbers will be updated once per hour. All information on the Reserve Assigned screen will be updated in real-time. Here are some additional details:

  • What will be updated in real-time?
    • Changes to Ready Reserve preferences for maximum flying (RTF), no preference (RNP), Standby (RSB), and minimum flying (RMF)
    • Changes to Co-terminal preferences
    • Changes to preferences entered to volunteer to be assigned into days off (RV1/RV2)
    • Assigned Reserves will be removed from the list
    • Reserves returning to availability (e.g., returning from Sick Leave or Standby status) will reappear on the list
    • All information displayed on the Reserve Assigned screen
  • What will not update in real-time?
    • TMAC will only update once per hour. While less impactful for current-day operations, there could be variances when looking ahead to future days of availability.

In response to the mid-term fix, the Availability List pages on UnitedAFA.org will no longer be visible. However, they will remain available for us to reactivate quickly if there are further disruptions. We will keep the FAQs page active and update it as needed.

Our advocacy will continue until we see meaningful progress and the investment of resources required for a more permanent technology solution. Looking beyond this most recent issue, we must ensure Flight Attendants have access to technology that is reliable and accurate, both now and long into the future.
