Available to a majority of pre-merger United Flight Attendants and those Flight Attendants hired after September 1st, 2016.

Continental Retirement Plan (CARP)

Available to a majority of pre-merger Continental Flight Attendants hired before September 1st, 2016. 

Administered by Alight Solutions. To access individual information, view your benefits on Flying Together or call 1-800-651-1007.

UA UK Group Stakeholder Plan

Available to United Airlines Flight Attendants based in London. 

Administered by Fidelity International. Access online at Fidelity's site or by calling the Pensions Service Centre at 0800-368-6868 (from the UK) or +44 1737-838-585 (from outside the UK)

Continental Micronesia 401k Savings Plan

Available to post-merger United Airlines Flight Attendants based in Guam.

UA Pension Benefits Guaranty Corp.

Eligible pre-merger United Airlines Flight Attendants who were with United prior to 2006, the pension plan was assumed by PBGC.

IAM National Pension Fund

Generally available to pre-merger Continental Micronesia Flight Attendants who were based in Guam.

There is a tremendous amount of articles accessible on Fidelity's website as well as free consultation about retirement, financial well-being, loans and withdrawals, etc. You may need to log into NetBenefits to view some of this content. 

Retirement Checklist

Let the Company Know

  • Determine your retirement date. 
  • Flight Attendants should inform the Flight Attendant Support Team (FAST) of your intent to retire via a Help Hub request. 

Review Your Benefits

  • Review your health and welfare benefits. 
  • Determine Medicare eligibility.
  • Reach out to your 401k administrator if applicable. 
  • Evaluate your defined benefit pension plan eligibility and options, if applicable. 
  • Review retiree travel privilege information available on Flying Together. 
  • Learn more about potential Social Security retirement benefits or call the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213.
  • Ensure you have access to the systems you will need in retirement. For example, usernames and passwords to your health benefits and your 401k or pension provider. 

Update Your Personal Information

  • Ensure your home address in United's records is accurate. 
  • Request a copy of your Employee Separation Data Review from your manager/supervisor. 
  • Save a copy of your Employee Profile on Flying Together. 
  • Request a retiree badge if you would like one and are eligible (it is not required)
